Home and Garden Tips

House

If you often feel overwhelmed by the number of tasks which you have to complete in order to keep your home and garden well maintained, thankfully there are simple yet effective tips which can make maintaining your home a lot easier. To discover a few life changing home and garden tips simply continue reading.

Home and Garden Tips:

Make sure to give your plants and grass a long soak once a week:

One day per week you should give your plants and your grass an extra long soak in order to keep your grass and plants healthy. Ideally you should aim to cover your grass and the roots of your plants with one inch of water. Make sure not to over water your grass and plants as doing so can kill your plants or grass.

If you move your plants choose to do so after watering your plants:

If you want your plants to survive being transported from one section of your garden to another section of your garden make sure to do so after watering your plants. In order to avoid damaging the roots of your plants.

Don’t mow your grass too often:

While it may be important to mow your grass on a regular basis in order to keep it well maintained and under control, it’s important to avoid over mowing your grass. As if you mow your grass too often your grass may become riddled with weeds which will be difficult to get rid of.

Plant new flowers in areas which will enjoy at least six hours of sun per day:

If you want new flowers to thrive in your garden, it’s a great idea to plant your flowers in sections of your garden which average at least six hours of sunshine each day. As the vast majority of plants require six hours of sunlight each day to thrive.

Ask your visitors and household members to remove their shoes before they enter your home:

In order to keep your home’s flooring in pristine condition it’s a great idea to ban shoes from your home. You may want to place a sign outside of your home’s entrance or in your foyer which asks visitors to kindly remove their shoes before entering your home.

Add functional, yet design oriented heating:

Faux fireplaces are out and designer radiators are in. All the new rage of home design, these radiators can keep you warm, while adding a focal point to any room in your house. Unique traditional radiators look fantastic in any home or condo.

Wash your shower curtain in your washing machine:

In order to prevent mold from forming on your shower curtain it’s a great idea to periodically run your shower clean through your washing machine.

Keep your washing machine door open for several hours after you complete a load of laundry:

If you remember to keep your washing machine door open for a few hours after you complete a load of laundry each week, you’ll effectively prevent mold from growing in your washing machine. As unfortunately machine machines are often a breeding ground for mold.

So if you’d love to keep your home in pristine condition it’s a great idea to test out some of the excellent home and garden tips which have been outlined in the list above.
