Artist and product inventor Adam Frank added to his creative collection of light and interactivity with the LUCID mirror; bringing flare, uniqueness, and variability to an otherwise static and orthodox piece of decor. Instead of trying to put a spin on the facts, the product description says it best.
How does the LUCID mirror work?
“LUCID Mirror uses a new patent pending method to place a luminous 3D image inside the perceived space of a mirror. This work functions as an ambient light source, mirror and unique artwork simultaneously. Thickness is a slim 1.5 inches. The replaceable LED backlight lasts for at least 100,000 hours of continuous use. The framed LUCID Mirror can be hung on a wall or placed on a mantle. A touch dimmer on the frame allows for brightness control. When turned off, the image disappears and leaves only the reflection visible.”
